“We are never moving again.” – my husband when we bought our first home together in Fort Worth, Texas.
Famous last words.
Three short years later we decided to trade in our low-maintenance, new construction, two-story home in a well developed and highly desired, HOA mandated neighborhood for a fixer-upper on four acres in the East Texas country.
Best decision ever.
Our little two-stoplight-town has a population of less than 1500 people and only one small convenience grocery store.
We have loving nicknamed our new home Farmette 825, and here on this blog we will share our renovations and decorating updates, as well as our journey to adjust to life outside the city limits. I also hope to share more about what East Texas has to offer with local restaurant reviews and must-visit stops, like fun antique stores and more!
